The Facella line was developed in 1996 as part of the beauty division of
the Sanofi Aventis pharmaceutical group. Its founders were Mr. François de
Grancey – who had been head of marketing for the entire range of fragrances,
treatments, and cosmetics for the brands held within the beauty division on
the Eastern, Asian and Pacific markets since 1982 – and Mr. Michel Sabadie –
director of the beauty division’s research laboratory.
After the sale of its beauty
division by Sanofi Aventis to the Gucci group in 2000, Mr. de Grancey took over
the Facella brand with partners and transferred the manufacturing from the
Yves Saint Laurent perfume factory to the Inter Cosmétiques factory in Angers,
which specializes in treatment products. In 2004 the Facella headquarters
relocated to Geneva and subsequently the production line was transferred to
the CRB factory in Puidoux, and then, in 2018, to Swiss laboratory Cosmotec,
an outfit that specializes in worldwide research into specific ingredients based on natural components.
The Facella range is a line of skincare products formulated with meticulously selected natural extracts to regulate, moisturize, nourish, and repair the skin. The selected active ingredients are designed to address the many different needs of the skin, which is a highly sensitive organ. They help preserve the hydrolipidic film,
a protective barrier that is essential to maintaining the skin in good condition. The composition of Facella products is based on one unique element: the crystal clear, pure water of the Swiss Alps, enriched as it flows through layers of soil and rock. Collected straight from the source in all its original purity, with no chemical treatment,
it is used in the manufacture of Facella products. This produces exceptionally high-quality cosmetics with a texture and lightness that allow the natural active ingredients to be quickly absorbed by the skin, creating an instant feeling of well-being.
